For nutrition coaches and dietitians
Nutrition coach software with a food diary your clients will actually use
Set the targets, and your client logs meals on their phone against them. You see what they ate, how they feel and how their measurements move, without chasing screenshots in a chat.
The short answer
Nutrition coach software where you set daily calorie, protein, carbohydrate and fat targets per client, turns them into a meal plan of everyday dishes with a shopping list, and lets the client log meals by searching a food list or typing a barcode, comparing each day against the targets. Habits, weekly check-ins with measurements and optional progress photos, direct messages and 1-on-1 consultation slots sit in the same private page. Nothing to install, no client login.
What you get
- Daily targets per client for calories, protein, carbohydrates and fat, plus a written note from you
- A food diary where the client searches foods or enters a barcode (Open Food Facts) and logs by meal, or adds a food by hand
- Totals per day against the targets, so the client sees where they stand
- A meal plan built from the targets: up to a week of everyday dishes with weighed portions, vegetarian, vegan and allergy filters, a shopping list and a PDF. Every portion stays editable, and the client logs a planned meal with one tap
- Habits with streaks, such as a glass of water with every meal or a daily walk
- A weekly check-in with weight, waist, hips, chest, arm and thigh, energy and sleep from 1 to 5 and a free note, plus optional progress photos that only you and the client can see
- Publish free 1-on-1 consultation slots, including weekly recurring ones. Clients book and cancel themselves within your cancellation window, and you can book for a client
- Direct messages between you and each client, with unread counts, kept in one place instead of scattered over WhatsApp
- If a client also wants to train, a strength block as a PDF from the same account
- One private link per client that opens on their phone: no app store, no account, installable to the home screen
What it does not do
- A recipe library with cooking steps: meal plans use everyday dishes with weighed portions
- Camera barcode scanning: the barcode is typed in, and food data can be incomplete, so clients check the label
- Medical nutrition therapy or diagnosis: it is a coaching tool, not a clinical record
- Process card payments from your clients: you track packages and share your own payment link
Better to know that before you start than after.
How it works
- 1
Add the client
They fill in the intake form themselves, with goals, complaints and anything you need to know.
- 2
Set targets and habits
Calories and macros, a note in your own words, and two or three habits.
- 3
Share one link
Your client opens a private link on their phone. No app store, no account, no password to forget. It installs to the home screen like an app.
- 4
Review the week
Read their food log and check-in, then reply in the same place or open a slot for a consultation.
Frequently asked questions
Where does the food data come from?
From two sources. Everyday foods come from a built-in list with values from USDA FoodData Central; the meal plans use it, and it shows first when the client searches. Packaged foods come from Open Food Facts, a free, open database searchable by name and barcode. That data is contributed by volunteers and can be incomplete, so clients are told to check the label, and they can always add a food by hand.
Does RungGym create meal plans?
Yes. From the targets you set it builds up to a week of everyday dishes with weighed portions, fitted to calories and protein and filtered for vegetarian, vegan and allergies. You can change any portion or swap a dish, and the client gets a shopping list and a PDF. It has no recipe library with cooking steps.
Do clients need an app or an account?
No. Each client gets a private link that opens their own page in the phone browser, and it can be added to the home screen. There is nothing to download and nothing to log in to.
Can clients book a consultation themselves?
Yes. You publish free 1-on-1 moments, including weekly recurring ones, and clients book and cancel within your cancellation window. You can also book for a client. It is one-to-one booking only, not a group class timetable.
Is this suitable for health data?
Food logs, measurements, photos and messages are health-related data, so RungGym stores them per coach with access limited to that coach and the client's own link. Progress photos are private to the client and the coach. It is a coaching tool and does not replace a medical record. Read the privacy page for how the data is handled.
What does it cost?
You pay per client, per module: from €2 a month for one module (half price from client 21 on), or €5 for everything, never more than €59 a month in total. You start with 14 days free and you can cancel any month.
