Cookie policy

In short
RungGym sets two kinds of cookies: necessary ones (your login session and your cookie choice itself) that need no consent, and optional ones (a statistics cookie of our own) that are only set after you say yes in the cookie banner. Say no and the site works exactly the same.
Necessary cookies
When you log in, our authentication provider (Supabase) sets an authentication cookie. Without it the application cannot know it is you, so you could not stay logged in. Your browser may store it in two parts (.0 and .1). The moment you make a choice in the cookie banner, that choice itself is also stored in a small cookie. Otherwise we would have to ask again on every page.
Separately, the site asks whether you are a personal trainer or training for yourself, because the two are offered different plans at different prices. If you answer, that answer is stored in a cookie so the site does not have to ask again on the next page. It holds nothing but the word trainer or individual, it is never sent to anyone else, and it is not used to recognise or track you.

When you log out, the authentication cookie is removed. You can also clear cookies yourself through your browser settings at any time. You will be logged out, but nothing is lost.
Optional cookies, only with your consent
These are only set after you choose Accept all in the cookie banner. Choose Necessary only and none of them appear.

Payments via Stripe
Payment happens on Stripe's secure payment page, on their own domain. We do not load Stripe scripts on our site, so Stripe sets no cookies here. Once you click through to the payment page, Stripe's privacy policy applies.
