For physiotherapists and kinesitherapists
Physiotherapist software for home exercise programmes your patients open
Build a rehabilitation, mobility or fall prevention programme, review it and adjust every exercise, and send the patient one private link. They log their pain after each session, and you decide when the dose goes up.
The short answer
Physiotherapist and kinesitherapist software for the home exercise programme between sessions. You choose a therapy goal (rehabilitation, mobility or fall prevention), RungGym proposes a programme that respects the complaint, and the programme stays a draft until you have reviewed and edited it: swap, change the dose, add hold times, sides and a note per exercise, or remove anything. The patient opens a private link, no app and no login, and logs pain from 0 to 10 before and after each session. You see a flag when pain passes the limit, rises or a session was stopped. It is a planning and communication tool, not a patient record, not a medical device and not a replacement for your judgement: you stay responsible for every programme.
Every rule has a source you can read, with a label for how strong the evidence is. Open the science page.
What you get
- Three therapy goals next to strength: rehabilitation, mobility and fall prevention, as a programme of 1 to 12 weeks with 1 to 7 sessions a week
- Progression guided by pain instead of the calendar: the patient rates pain from 0 to 10 before and after a session, stop criteria are shown on every session, and the dose does not rise by itself from week to week
- A flag for you when pain after a session passes the limit you set, when pain before a session rises, or when a session was stopped
- The dose the way a therapist prescribes it: hold time in seconds, per side, and a coach note per exercise, printed the same way on the phone and on the PDF
- Every programme starts as a draft. You review and edit it, and the patient sees nothing until you publish it
- Every generated plan is a starting point you can edit exercise by exercise: swap, change the dose, add or remove
- An exercise the safety filter blocked for a condition can still be added when your clinical judgement says so, with a reason that stays with the exercise (equipment and level cannot be overridden)
- Your own exercises with your own video, and templates you assign to several patients
- A PDF handout and a private link for the patient: no app store, no account, installable to the home screen
- An intake form the patient fills in themselves, with injuries, surgery and medication in their own words, and an explicit consent for their health data that is stored with the date
- A weekly check-in and a daily recovery check of 20 seconds, and direct messages between you and each patient
- Publish free 1-on-1 moments for follow up sessions, including weekly recurring ones. Clients book and cancel themselves within your cancellation window, and you can book for a client
What it does not do
- Diagnose, or keep a treatment record: no diagnosis codes, no SOAP notes, no clinical file
- Declare to health insurers or the mutualiteit, or connect to MyCareNet or a patient record system
- Licensed outcome questionnaires such as KOOS or ODI: pain is logged on a 0 to 10 scale and the licensed scales are not included
- Replace your judgement: it is not a medical device, and you stay responsible for every programme you publish
- Live video consultations: you add the link to your own call tool, RungGym does not stream video
- Process card payments from your clients: you track packages and share your own payment link
Better to know that before you start than after.
How it works
- 1
Add the patient
They fill in the intake themselves, with injuries, surgery and medication in their own words, and give consent for their health data.
- 2
Generate a draft and make it yours
Pick rehabilitation, mobility or fall prevention. RungGym proposes a programme that respects the complaint. You swap, change the dose, add hold times and notes, and publish it when it is right.
- 3
Share one link
Your patient opens a private link on their phone. No app store, no account, no password to forget. It installs to the home screen like an app.
- 4
Follow the pain, not the calendar
Read the pain scores and stop flags, raise the dose when you judge it is time, and reply in the message thread.
Frequently asked questions
Where do the rules come from?
Every rule in the engine is written down with its source and a label for how strong the evidence is, in a document that is public on the science page. The pain rule, for example (pain up to 5 out of 10 during and right after exercise is acceptable if it has settled by the next morning) comes from tendon research and the page says where that evidence stops. Where the evidence is thin, such as breathing exercises, it says so.
How does the pain rule work?
The patient rates pain from 0 to 10 before and after each session and can mark that they stopped. By default the limit is 5, and you can change it per exercise. You get a flag when pain after a session is above the limit, when pain before a session rose by 2 points or more since the last one, or when a session was stopped. RungGym never raises the dose on its own in this mode: you decide when it is time.
Can I change what the software proposes?
Yes, all of it. You can swap an exercise, change sets, repetitions, hold time and rest, set the side, write a note, and add or remove exercises, and the programme is a draft until you publish it. If the safety filter blocks an exercise for a condition and you decide it is right for this patient, you can add it anyway with a reason that is kept. Equipment and level cannot be overridden.
Is RungGym a medical device?
No. It is a planning and communication tool for a named professional. It does not diagnose, does not keep a treatment record, never moves a patient to a next phase on its own and is no replacement for your clinical judgement. You stay responsible for every programme you publish.
Is this suitable for patient data?
The patient gives explicit consent for their health data in the intake form, and the date is stored. You are the controller of that data and RungGym processes it on your behalf, with access limited to you and the patient's own link. Read the privacy page and the data processing agreement for the details. This is not legal advice: check what applies to your practice.
What does it cost?
You pay per patient, per module: from €2 a month for one module (half price from client 21 on), or €5 for everything, never more than €59 a month in total. One client is free, with no card and no end date; paid plans start with 14 days free and you can cancel any month.
Try it with one client
Create an account, add one person and send them their link. Within ten minutes you know whether it fits the way you work. The free plan covers one client, with no card and no end date.
Business (agenda, packages, public page and leads) comes with a paid plan.
